Closing Arguments in Trial of Schenectady Woman
The defense has concluded its closing arguments in the trial of Persia Nelson, a Schenectady woman accused of leaving her baby to die on the GE campus.
Persia Nelson is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, and endangering the welfare of a child in connection to the death of her 11-month-old daughter, Halo Branton.
According to the allegations, Nelson left her daughter in freezing cold water in a utility shed in March 2024.
