Village of Sayward Seeks Reduction in Councilors
The Village of Sayward has taken an "extraordinary step" by filing a petition in the Supreme Court of British Columbia to reduce its village council quorum from three councillors to two.
This is a step in the right direction to restore order, civility, and professionalism to the village
The village aims to effectively carry out council members' duties and responsibilities under Community Charter section 115, and to control their processes and fulfill responsibilities pursuant to sections 4, 7, 114, 115, and 117.
