Lewis-Clark State College President Cynthia Pemberton is advocating for a rebrand to attract more students to campus.
Pemberton emphasized that gaining university status would help distinguish LC State from Idaho's two-year colleges and recruit students and student-athletes.
“We are constantly confronting the clarification that we are indeed a four-year institution,”
Pemberton said during a State Board meeting. The State Board of Education has already approved the proposal, but it still requires legislative and gubernatorial approval.
