Engineering Flaws Led to Titan Sub Implosion: Report
A report by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) found that the Titan submersible did not meet manufacturing safety standards.
The NTSB stated that the engineering process for the sub was "inadequate" and resulted in a carbon fibre composite pressure vessel with multiple anomalies, failing to meet necessary strength and durability requirements.
The firm failed to adequately test the Titan and was unaware of its true durability.
