ZESA Holdings has confirmed the successful completion of maintenance work on Hwange Unit 6, restoring 150 megawatts (MW) to the national grid.
The unit was taken offline last week due to a system failure, leading to widespread blackouts across the country.
In an update, Zesa Holdings general manager for stakeholder relations George Manyanya announced that Hwange Unit 3 is also undergoing a scheduled 44-day overhaul.
Hwange Unit 3 is expected to be reconnected to the grid early next month, bringing further relief to households.
