Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing River Plate defender Lautaro Rivero, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
Since Micky Van de Ven joined the team, he has been a starter, but struggled with fitness issues over the last two seasons. In his absence, former manager Ange Postecoglou used Ben Davies and Archie Gray in the left centre-back position.
However, both Davies and Gray are not natural centre-backs, with Davies being a left-back and Gray a midfielder. This lack of a natural left-footed centre-back has led to Thomas Frank looking to resolve the issue.
