A fire broke out in a potato warehouse in Walsh County, specifically in Hoople, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Walsh County Sheriff’s Office reported that the fire engulfed the south wall of the warehouse.
The Hoople Fire Chief stated that the fire attack had to be placed on hold until power and propane gas service were removed from the building.
Crews from nearby areas, including Hoople, Park River, Edinburg, and Crystal, as well as the Park River Ambulance and the Walsh County Paramedic Team, responded to the incident.
Most of the crews were cleared from the scene by around 6:30 p.m.
