2025 Great Alaska ShakeOut Reminds the State to Drop, Cover and Hold On

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - This annual event encourages citizens across the state to practice protecting themselves from an earthquake. With Alaska experiencing 50-100 earthquakes every day, practice is crucial.
Denali Montessori Elementary School participated in the Great Alaska Shakeout, where children quickly found their places, covering their heads and necks and sheltering under their desks as they should in a real earthquake.
