USATF Athlete of the Week: Conner Mantz

Conner Mantz has been named the 36th USATF Athlete of the Week for 2025 after setting a new American record in the men's marathon.

Mantz finished fourth in the Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:04:43, breaking the previous American record of 2:05:38 set by Khalid Khannouchi 23 years ago.

His time also surpassed the all-conditions American record of 2:04:58 set by Ryan Hall at Boston in 2011.

Other notable performances include Brittany Brown winning the 100m in 10.99 and the 200m in a lifetime best of 21.89 at the Athlos NYC meet.
