Human Remains Found Near Scotts Bluff National Monument

Human skeletal remains discovered last week are presumed to be those of missing man, Chance Englebert, according to the Gering Police Department.

A photographer, Kelly Mumm, captured images of Gering Police officers recovering human remains near the base of the Scotts Bluff National Monument on Saturday at around 10 a.m.

The remains were found in an area commonly known as the badlands, as shown on a Google map provided by Mumm.

The location is near the north overlook of the Scotts Bluff National Monument, which offers a view of the North Platte Valley from atop the monument.

This discovery is part of an ongoing case involving the missing man, Chance Englebert.
