PeopleCert Acquires City & Guilds' Training Arm
PeopleCert has acquired the commercial awarding and skills training part of City & Guilds London Institute (CGLI) for an undisclosed sum.
- PeopleCert will take over City & Guilds’ awarding, assessment and training businesses.
- Brands included in the deal: City & Guilds Training, Gen2, Intertrain, ILM, and The Oxford Group.
- PeopleCert will also own City & Guilds’ headquarters in London and its training and assessment site in Cumbria.
The transaction was financed through €150 million in funding from Eurobank and existing company cash reserves.
Following the acquisition, PeopleCert will focus on refinancing its capital structure, with the deal expected to complete by the end of the month.
