A call has been made in Ballybofey and Stranorlar to stop dumping household and vehicle waste in public litter bins.
The local chamber of commerce has revealed that the misuse of bins is creating hazards for council workers.
The community wants the public realm to be safe and clean, not hazardous for council workers who maintain and empty the bins three times a week.
Residents are urged to be mindful of what they put in litter bins, especially umbrellas, as they are not designed for this purpose.
Author's summary: Stop abusing public bins in Twin Towns.
