Shanghai Masters: Vacherot Wins Maiden Title
The 2025 Shanghai Masters was a family affair, with cousins Valentin Vacherot and Arthur Rinderknech meeting in the final.
Vacherot won the title, defeating Rinderknech 4–6, 6–3, 6–3, and claiming his maiden ATP Tour level trophy.
Notably, Vacherot defeated 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the semi-final, as well as 14th seed Alexander Bublik and 10th Holger Rune.
Vacherot became the first man from Monaco to reach the quarter-final of an ATP Masters 1000 event and the first Monagasque to win a top-level title.
He ended his Shanghai fairytale run with the trophy.
