Ukrainian Forces Destroy Russian Tornado-S MLRS
Ukrainian troops from Lasar's Group have detected and destroyed a Russian BM-30 Smerch multiple launch rocket system.
The system, likely a modernized Tornado-S, had been shelling southern Ukraine, terrorizing the civilian population of Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
- Lasar's Group aerial reconnaissance detected the launcher in a field and then moving to cover among trees.
- A kamikaze drone hit the system, followed by a bomber strike that caused a massive explosion, completely destroying it.
The corresponding video was posted on social media by the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine.
This is significant as it would be the first time a Tornado-S system has been destroyed, if verified.
