PSC Appoints New DIG and Promotes Officers
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of Dankwara Mohammed as a Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of the North-East.
According to the PSC'S Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, Mohammed was elevated from the rank of an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) to replace Mr. Sahabu Yahaya, who had since retired from service.
The commission also promoted other officers, including:
- Mr. Abibo Reuben from Commissioner of Police (CP) to Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG)
- 11 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) to the rank of Commissioner of Police (CP)
- 482 other officers to various ranks
