DeSantis thinks that individuals in this age group can manage without extensive preventive care. Notably, DeSantis and his family have access to socialized medicine through his Navy service and have also benefited from government-subsidized health care since 2012.
Despite having access to these benefits, DeSantis feels they are not necessary for him, stating that most people do not pay a lot for medical care on a routine basis.
