Lawrence Labor Unions Endorse Candidates
Voters will elect two Lawrence city commissioners and three Lawrence school board members in the upcoming general election.
Two local labor unions have announced their endorsements for the candidates on the Nov. 4 ballot.
Endorsements for School Board
The Lawrence Education Association (LEA), the labor union for Lawrence Public Schools educators, has endorsed the following candidates for school board:
- Matt Lancaster, newcomer with a background as a teacher and administrator
- Shannon Kimball, incumbent
- Kelly Jones, incumbent
After reviewing candidate questionnaires, interviewing our top four choices, and being approved by our building representatives, we proudly stand with
Lancaster referred to himself as an
“educator’s educator”.
