A Pacific storm system is expected to bring heavy showers and storms to the area, with the best rain chances in nearly a month.
According to Meteorologist Siobhain Anders, the storm system is currently off the coast of California, but will move across the desert southwest and into the South Central Plains, bringing 1–2+ inches of rainfall in some areas.
The system will drag a cold front through the region, first bringing drier, more comfortable air, with mostly cloudy skies in the morning and possible patchy fog, followed by sunshine in the afternoon as humidity drops.
Rain chances increase Friday, especially Friday night
The storm is expected to move through Friday night, bringing significant rainfall to the area.
