The Robeson County Board of Commissioners voted to proceed with installment financing for a new Health Department and technical school.
According to County Attorney Rob Davis,
this hearing is simply for the board to approve the county moving forward with filing the application with the Local Government Commission to approve this type of financing.
County Manager Kellie Blue clarified that this measure is a procedural step before presenting financing plans to the LGC, and not the approval of contracts for the projects.
The decision was made during Monday's Robeson County Board of Commissioners meeting in Lumberton, with Commissioners Tom Taylor, Pauline Campbell, and Lance Herndon in attendance.
