Elton John is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his legendary back-to-back performances at Dodger Stadium held on October 25 and 26, 1975. Across two sold-out nights, drawing 110,000 fans, Elton became the first solo artist to perform at Dodger Stadium since The Beatles in 1966.
Elton also released a 50th Anniversary Edition reissue of his album Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Originally released in 1975, the concept album told the chronological story of the early years of Elton and Bernie Taupin's musical careers in London as they struggled to break through.
The album went on to become the first in history to debut at #1 on the U.S.
