New Head Coach for Seattle Storm

Sonia Raman, previously an assistant coach for the New York Liberty, has been appointed as the Seattle Storm's next head coach.

Raman brings a wealth of experience, having coached the MIT women's basketball team for 12 years and serving as an assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies for four years.

Most recently, Raman was an assistant coach for the Liberty in 2024 and was a highly sought-after candidate for head coach positions.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Raman will now lead the Storm, who finished with the WNBA's 7th-best record in the previous season.
