Elderly Couple Cleared Over Gardener's Quad Bike Death

A couple in their 70s, Nicholas Prest, 71, and his wife Anthea, 70, have been cleared of any responsibility over the death of a self-employed gardener.

Paul Marsden, 47, died in an accident involving the couple's quad bike in April 2000, while spraying nettles in a steep field near their home in Llandogo.

The couple denied failing to discharge health and safety duties in connection with the accident.

The accident happened when Marsden took the quad bike to spray nettles, but was found dead underneath the toppled-over Honda all-terrain vehicle three hours later.
