Press Conference by Prime Minister Takaichi
Prime Minister Takaichi will attend the upcoming ASEAN-related Summit Meetings in Malaysia.
ASEAN is a key growth center, situated at the crossroads of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, and a core pillar of Japan's "Free and Open Indo-Pacific" (FOIP) initiative.
I intend to use this opportunity to deepen mutual trust with the leaders of ASEAN and to achieve significant results.
Following the summit, the AZEC Leaders’ Meeting will be co-chaired by Japan and Malaysia.
Prime Minister Takaichi also plans to hold bilateral meetings with leaders from Malaysia, the Philippines, and Australia.
