Thousands of residents in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley experienced a power outage on Saturday morning, October 25, due to a car crash.
The crash, which occurred around 7 a.m. at Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road, caused heavy damage to transformers, leading to an extended delay in restoring power.
The Sedro-Woolley police stated that a motor vehicle crash likely led to the large power outage.
Traffic lights were also affected by the outage, with some intersections having battery-powered lights and others not.
Power was estimated to be restored to the remaining customers around 2:30 p.m., according to PSE.
