English Not the Root Cause of CLP Failures in Sarawak
The Advocates Association of Sarawak (AAS) has stated that English proficiency is not the primary issue in Sarawak, in response to the recent Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) Examination 2024 Examiners' Report.
According to the AAS, the findings in the report are "concerning" as they reflect the overall readiness of future lawyers entering the profession.

- Poor analytical ability
- High failure rate in key subjects
The AAS expressed grave concern over the Examiners' Report for the CLP examination conducted in July-August 2024.
