The third installment in AMC's Immortal Universe, based on Anne Rice's works, fails to impress.
The series began with "Interview With the Vampire," a smart, sensual, and funny show that successfully balanced preserving and updating its source material.
"Interview With the Vampire" manages the balancing act of all great adaptations.
In contrast, the sophomore effort, "Mayfair Witches," was a letdown, lacking the passion and eccentricity of "Interview With the Vampire."
Author's summary: AMC's Immortal Universe falters with Talamasca.
