Teachers Licensing Initiative to Uphold Education Standards
The Botswana Teaching Professionals Councils (BOTEPCO) has launched a teacher registration and licensing initiative, marking a new era of professionalism and excellence in education.
The launch event, themed "Professionalisation at the core; Transforming Education for Sustainable Development", aims to ensure that only qualified individuals shape the nation's future through education.
"The exercise is meant to elevate the standard of teaching through advanced digitalization, which is why we are professionalising teaching. Today marks an important milestone where teaching will be professionalised,"
said Minister of Child Welfare and Basic Education, Nono Kgafela-Mokoka, highlighting the importance of teacher licensing and registration.
