A recent study has found that the rate of physician attrition from clinical practice has increased since 2013.

According to the study, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, researchers from the University of California at San Francisco, led by Rotenstein, M.D., analyzed data from 712,395 physicians who provided care to Medicare patients between 2013 and 2022.

The researchers observed a significant increase in the unadjusted rates of clinical practice attrition.
