Waymo Co-CEO Addresses Robotaxi Vandalism
Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana spoke out against vandalism of the company's cars at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025.
As the leading robotaxi company in the US, Waymo's vehicles have been targeted by vandals multiple times, including a recent incident in Los Angeles.
“Obviously, vandalism is a crime, so we’re very focused on working with law enforcement to make sure that we pursue the people who are committing these crimes against our fleet,”
Mawakana emphasized that damaging property is not acceptable, stating
“We’re not standing for it”.
