Mountain View Council Member Discusses Climate Policy with Students
Saint Francis High School hosted Mountain View City Council member Alison Hicks to talk about climate accountability and local political engagement.
As part of a statewide effort, high school students in California rallied for climate legislation, with many walking out of their schools to call on state leaders to pass the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act.
- On Oct. 24, students from Oakland to San Diego participated in the walkout.
- Instead of organizing a walkout, the Saint Francis Environmental Club invited Hicks to speak with students on campus.
