The author has a fondness for spooky movies, especially during this time of year, and tries to watch as many as possible, but tends to avoid films that rely solely on shock value.

This is why the author has never watched any of the Terrifier movies, which feature a clown named Art and have gained a strong cult following, with the sequel grossing $15 million on a $250,000 budget and the third installment making $90 million on a $2 million budget.

However, upon learning about a particular infamous scene where a woman is suspended upside down and cut in half, the author's interest in the movies vanished.
