Sequel to The Last Witch Hunter in Development
A sequel to the 2015 film The Last Witch Hunter is moving forward at Lionsgate, despite the first film receiving negative reviews.
The sequel, titled The Last Witch Hunter 2: The Lion’s Oath, is eyeing a 2026 release date and will star Vin Diesel, who played the role of immortal knight Kaulder in the first film.
Diesel shared an update on the sequel’s progress on Instagram, saying “Ten year anniversary! A decade ago, this weekend, Kaulder was first introduced… this year you have resurrected him….
The decision to move forward with the sequel is reportedly due to "enduring enthusiasm" for the first film.
