The next frontier of health tracking is happening in your toilet, with devices like Withings' new U-Scan, which can track nutrient intake and potential for kidney stones.
Health trackers are no longer limited to wrists or fingers, but can now be found in toilets, sensing urine and monitoring biomarkers like hydration, nutrition, and more.
Withings' U-Scan
Withings has launched two toilet urine sensors: U-Scan Nutrio and U-Scan Calci, for nutrition and kidney stone tracking.
- Attaches to the inside of a toilet bowl
- Comes equipped with gloves for insertion and cleaning
- Works like a miniature urine analysis lab
The U-Scan does not include a camera, unlike its competitor, Kohler Health's Dekoda.
