CEO of Memento Labs Confirms Government Customer Used Its Malware

Security researchers discovered a government hacking campaign utilizing Windows spyware developed by Memento Labs, a surveillance tech maker.

According to a report by Kaspersky, the spyware, called Dante, targeted Windows victims in Russia and Belarus.

The Dante spyware is made by Memento Labs, a Milan-based surveillance tech maker.

Memento chief executive Paolo Lezzi confirmed that the spyware caught by Kaspersky belongs to Memento, blaming a government customer for getting caught.
