The Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar Yaghi for their work on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
According to Vanessa Seifert, this year's recipients are truly chemists, and their work is a great example of a chemical breakthrough. As Derek Lowe has also pointed out in Chemistry World, the development of MOFs is a significant achievement in the field of chemistry.
