Sex in College course opens campus dialogue on hookup culture

A new course at Tulane University invites students to explore how sex, relationships and identity intersect with college life.

Introduced last semester, Sex in College was designed by associate professor of sociology Lisa Wade.

"I really wanted to give back to students, give them tools to navigate this culture that they find themselves in but didn’t necessarily choose,"

Wade, author of “American Hookup: The New Culture of Sex on Campus,” has studied hookup culture for the past 15 years.

Author's summary: Tulane University's new course explores sex and relationships in college life.
