Passenger Traffic at Georgian Airports Reaches Record High
According to the Civil Aviation Agency, Georgia's air travel sector has shown a strong post-pandemic growth trajectory. Passenger numbers across the country's airports reached nearly 6.5 million in the first nine months of 2025, a 14% increase compared to the same period last year.
- Tbilisi International Airport handled almost 4.1 million passengers, up 12% year-on-year.
- Kutaisi International Airport served about 1.4 million passengers, a 10% increase.
- Batumi International Airport posted the highest growth rate among major terminals, 32%, serving 995,099 travelers between January and September.
Air freight volumes also rose sharply, with around 26,000 tons of cargo transported through Georgian airports, a 50% increase over 2024 figures.
