Dutch Election Outcome
The recent election in the Netherlands has been deemed a positive outcome for Europe's centrists.
Rob Jetten, a pro-European liberal, is likely to become the prime minister, which would make him the youngest person to hold the office since World War II and the first openly gay candidate to do so.
“Many in the Brussels bubble will welcome the rise of a mainstream, pro-govering and reform-oriented party,”
said an EU diplomat. Geert Wilders, the far-right populist, lost nearly a third of his voters after a chaotic 11 months in coalition.
