A recent event has resulted in a significant donation to a charity that saves lives at sea.
On May 11, over 100 competitors participated in a triathlon, swimming, cycling, and running around a seaside town, organized by King’s Lynn Triathlon Club.
The club, with 70 members, presented the proceeds to the RNLI at Hunstanton lifeboat station on Sunday.
“It was the most we've ever had. It's a great location and we take pride in giving people a great experience. Our athletes go racing all over the country and go swimming in the sea so the RNLI is a really worthwhile cause for us, we never know when we might need them ourselves.”
Chris Playford, the club's race director, noted that approximately 120 participants took part in the event, making it the best-supported one yet.
