Sharks Secure First Home Win of Season
The San Jose Sharks ended their home losing streak with a 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils.
Forwards Alexander Wennberg and Philipp Kurashev each had a goal and an assist, while goalie Alex Nedeljkovic made 29 saves.
The third line, consisting of Wennberg, Kurashev, and Eklund, had a notable first period, with each player scoring a goal to give the Sharks a 3-1 lead.
After withstanding a push from the Devils in the second period, the Sharks secured even-strength goals from Will Smith and Tyler Toffoli to take a 5-1 lead.
The win marked an emphatic end to the Sharks' long losing streak on home ice.
