Reversal of Privatisation in Electricity Sector Urged
Stakeholders, including trade unions and civil society organisations (CSOs), are calling for the urgent reversal of privatisation in the electricity sector and all existing privatisations in the water and waste sectors.
The stakeholders also demand the suspension of ongoing or planned discussions with the World Bank and other International Financial Institutions (IFIs) on the privatisation of public assets.
Their call is contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the National Public Utilities Summit.
