Ron DeSantis has appointed William 'Chad' Bailey to fill the vacant seat on the Gulf County School Board.
The seat was vacated by former School Board Chair Denny McGlon, who resigned in January after being investigated for a stalking claim.
According to a report by Channel 13 WMMB, McGlon was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor stalking of a woman, but a judge later dismissed the case, claiming one incident did not constitute stalking.
William 'Chad' Bailey, 43, has an engineering background and a resume with extensive community service experience.
Ron DeSantis announced the appointment this month, filling the open seat on the school board of the Panhandle county, home to Port St.
