Witches Gather for Annual Halloween Lunch in Santa Barbara
Approximately 40 witches and a few warlocks gathered for a special Halloween lunch in Santa Barbara, an event that began over 40 years ago.
The tradition, started by artist Patricia Chidlaw and her friends over 20 years ago, was revived after a brief hiatus. They chose Andersen's Danish Bakery and Restaurant on State Street downtown for the gathering.
"and then we forgot all about it until a few years later I was remembering that was a great idea. I think the idea is that we are supposed to be getting ready for the evening."
When asked about their plans for the evening, the witches remained tight-lipped, citing it as a "dark secret" in the witch community.
