Indonesia’s Amman Mineral moves a step closer to getting export permit

Indonesia's Amman Mineral Nears Export Permit

Indonesia has banned exports of copper concentrates and raw minerals since mid-2023 to promote domestic processing.

The energy ministry has supported Amman Mineral Internasional's export of 480,000 dry metric tons of concentrate, valid for six months from October 31.

With the resumption of copper concentrate exports, which had been suspended since early 2025, Amman will be able to prevent concentrate storage facilities from exceeding their capacity.

This will allow mining operations to continue, according to Amman Mineral.

The company still needs to apply for an export permit from the trade ministry.
