A strong cold front is expected to bring a dramatic shift in temperatures to start the work week in the Tri-Cities area.
Currently, the region is experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures, but with the passage of the cold front, winds have shifted to the northwest.
In areas further north, such as Valentine, O’Neill, and Ainsworth, cooler air has already settled in, bringing temperatures down to the upper 50s and 60s from earlier 70s.
Winds are expected to be robust early in the evening with gusts up to 35 mph, but will gradually decrease from west to east as the night progresses.
Overnight lows will plummet into the 30s and 50s across the region, and Monday's highs will struggle to reach the upper 50s to mid-60s.
Rain chances are also expected in the coming days.
Expect overnight lows to fall dramatically into the 30s and 50s across the region.
