Thursday, 30th October: Old Orchard Saturday Division Two

Fanad United welcomed Gweedore Celtic Reserves to Traigh-a-Loch on Thursday evening and recorded a comfortable 8-0 victory in the Old Orchard Saturday Division Two of the Donegal Junior League.
After some good early pressure, Fanad opened the scoring in the 17th minute. A Dylan Mc Glone shot from the edge of the box was parried by Gweedore keeper Lorcan Coyle, but Charlie Mc Ateer was on hand to score from the rebound.
On the half-hour mark, Fanad doubled their lead when Caolan Mc Elwaine went on a great run into the box and, after holding off several challenges, he scored into the bottom corner. Five minutes later, Fanad made it three when Charlie Mc Ateer got his second with a lovely curling effort from 20 yards.
