Grokipedia, a new online encyclopedia, has been indexed by Google and Bing, with hundreds of its pages now available on these search engines.
At launch, Grokipedia featured 885,279 automatically generated pages, covering a wide range of topics, including ancient civilizations, scientific concepts, and popular culture.
Although Grokipedia is currently smaller than Wikipedia, with its seven million human-edited entries, its growth potential is significant, as new topics can be generated in seconds by an algorithm.
According to analysis by Digital Information World, Google has indexed approximately 378 Grokipedia pages, while Bing has indexed around 396 pages.
The speed at which both search engines accepted the site is notable, especially given Google's recent penalties for "scaled content abuse," which refers to AI-driven publishing strategies that prioritize quantity over originality.
