AMS-Bounce deal stirs up controversy - The Queen's Journal

AMS-Bounce Deal Sparks Controversy

A new partnership between the AMS and Bounce has sparked backlash from clubs due to unclear messaging and ticketing fees.

The AMS first announced the partnership in an email to clubs on Feb. 4, and reannounced it on Sept. 10. The deal allows Queen's clubs to submit events for approval, sell tickets, and promote events within the Bounce app.

The AMS entered into the partnership because Bounce offered a price that made the app cheaper to use than Formstack, the previously utilized platform.

However, controversy arose over the mandatory use of the app for ticket sales, with many clubs upset over Bounce's 2.9 per cent plus $1 fee.
