A Mexican truck driver, Mario Pastor, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for attempting to smuggle hundreds of pounds of cocaine into the U.S.
Pastor was convicted of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver more than 400 grams. He was stopped by authorities at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge in Texas while driving a tractor-trailer.
The seized drugs have an estimated street value of over $6 million.
