A high-profile Gaza peace summit opened on Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, with over 20 world leaders attending to push forward a ceasefire and regional stability plan.
The meeting, co-hosted by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and US President Donald Trump, aims
“to end the war in Gaza, enhance peace efforts, and ensure long-term stability in the Middle East.”
Trump expressed confidence in the ceasefire reached last week, stating
“The war is over”before departing for Egypt.
